Professor Han Zhiwu was born in Jilin Province on June 6th, 1969. He got his Ph.D degree in Yanshan University in 1998. He was Post-Doctor Fellow in Jilin University of Technology from July, 1998 to July, 2000. He was promoted Professor in September, 2001.

    Professor Han zhiwu is engaging in Mechanical Engineering, and Engineering Bionics, and his major research fields are Bionic Theory and Technology of Terrain-machine, Bionic Modification on Materials Surface, and Bionic Morphology on Biology Surface.

    Professor Han Zhiwu has engaged in 15 projects, such as Key Project of NSFC, Key Project of Ministry of Education, Doctoral Project of Ministry of Education, and Key Project of Jilin Province, etc. He has published 40 papers in some famous journal such as "Journal of Materials Processing Technology"、"Materials Science & Technology"、"Journal of Chinese Mechanical Engineering", including 15 papers cited in SCI, EI, ISTP. He was the supervisor of 4 Master Degree students, and 1 Ph.D candidate. He has taught 8 courses for Ph.D candidates and Master Degree students.

    Professor Han Zhiwu has attended ISTVS conference twice in Sweden and Thailand in June 2000 and December 2001. He got the Best Rewards in 8th European Conference of ISTVS. br>
    Professor Han Zhiwu is a member of Materials and Manufacturing Technology Branch of CSAM, and Metal Society of Jilin Province.
